MONTREAL HOTEL & TRAVEL - MONTREAL CANADA

Montreal Hotel and Travel Guide - When visiting Montreal, you will find yourself within the second largest city in Canada and the largest area within Quebec. Known for displaying some of the best living conditions, this destination provides a wealth of culture, history and points of interests to explore. Throughout the year, a tourist could be entertained by a number of events, festivals and celebrations. All you have to do is know when to go and where to seek out the entertaining aspects of this exciting city, which is considered one of the most expensive places to tour within Quebec.

Montreal is the sight of various levels of excitement. No matter what your tastes are, you could be sampling the culture of the city with every breath. Whether you are wandering about the Montreal Jazz Festival or enjoying a good flick at the Montreal World Film Festival, the surprises and explorations will never end. The nightlife in the area is also a great place to enjoy an ice-cold beer or dance to the latest tunes.

When planning a trip to the area, you may want to familiarize yourself with some of the districts and neighborhoods you may encounter during your stay. For starters, like almost every large city, Montreal features a small, bustling Chinatown, which is also called Quartier chinois, located close to the downtown area. Here, you will be able to sample Chinese cuisine and browse about a variety of interesting shops.

When reaching the Plateau, you will encounter an explosion of colors, as well as trendy areas to explore. A pedestrian-only street called Prince Arthur Street is situated in this neighborhood. For a nice day filled with architecture, you may want to check out the Plateau Mont-Royal area. Here, you will find a grand urban park, as well as the Chalet and the Kondiaronk Belvedere, which provides great views of the downtown area. This is also where you will find interesting landmarks associated with the city, such as an illuminated cross which is placed on the top of Mount Royal.
